Ut"ter*ance (?), n. 1. The act of uttering. Specifically: --

(a) Sale by offering to the public. [Obs.] Bacon.

(b) Putting in circulation; as, the utterance of false coin, or of forged notes.

(c) Vocal expression; articulation; speech.
